“Celebrate Caregiving” – 2023 Sheboygan County Caregiver Conference

Sheboygan, WI… The Dementia Care Network of Sheboygan County in conjunction with Dementia Innovations, will offer an educational conference for family and professional caregivers entitled Celebrate Caregiving, on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at Acuity Insurance, 2800 S. Taylor Drive, Sheboygan WI.
The conference will feature an opening keynote address entitled Detection, Diagnosis, and Drug Treatment:
What is the Role of Alzheimer’s Disease Biomarkers?, by Barbara Bendlin, PhD, Associate Professor & Scientific Investigator at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, UW- Madison.
“The annual caregiver conference is a must-attend event filled with important information and resources for caregivers as they continue on their caregiving journey,” stated Lisa Hurley, President of the Dementia Care Network. “It’s also an opportunity for caregivers to connect with each other,” added Hurley.
In addition, there are three workshop sessions (options to select from) relating to caregiver self-care, resources, disease specific, advance planning and more. A complete listing of topics is available online. Exhibitors and sponsors will be on hand to explain local services and resources.
Early registration is encouraged. The cost of the conference is $8 through November 9 and $12 after that date. Lunch is included in the conference registration.
