The excitement is\nplanned for one exclusive day\, Saturday\, February 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. when Wade\nHouse will host “Over the River and Through the Woods” sleigh rides. Horse-drawn sleigh rides\nwill be offered every thirty minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday\, February 14.\nThe sight of colorful sleighs and the sound of sleigh bells breaking the snowy silence\nwere commonplace during cold winter months in the late 19th century.  Sleigh rides were one of\nthe joys of winter with sleighing parties often organized by family and friends for an opportunity\nto socialize.\nAt Wade House’s “Over the River and Through the Woods” sleigh ride event\, guests will\nbe invited to climb aboard a horse-drawn sleigh (or wagon) for a ride through the northern\nreaches of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The cost for the sleigh rides are: $15 for adults and\nteens; $13 for seniors; $8 for children; and $5 for children under 5 years of age. Sleigh ride\nreservations are highly recommended and may be booked by visiting www.wadehouse.org.\nReservations in advance and on the day of will be accepted on a first come\, first serve basis. No\nsnow? No problem! Wade House will offer horse-drawn wagon rides without snow.\nBesides going on a sleigh (or wagon) ride\, guests will be able to see Wesley W. Bring cash to purchase a steaming bowl of soup\, a tasty sandwich\, a sweet treat and/or a hot beverage in the heated shelter. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Kettle Moraine\, Northern Kettle Moraine Nordic Ski Club\, Sheboygan County Cycling\, and Attitude Sports of Fond du Lac.
